Anna University BE/B.Tech Eligibility Criteria:
- HSC (Academic)/Plus 2/12th /Equivalent: The Admission seekers must have passed the Higher Secondary Examinations of (10+2) prescribed by government of Tamil Nadu with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry as three of four courses of study. The Minimum marks required for the eligibility is 50% for the General Catgory and 45% for SC/ST
- Diploma: The Candidates should have passed (10+3) Diploma any stream recognized by Central/State Government. The minimum marks required to get an admission is 50% for the General Category Candidates and 45% for SC/ST candidates
- International Baccalaureate Diploma: The candidate should have passed the International Baccalaureate Diploma after 10 years of schooling with Mathematics as a compulsory subject
Anna University BE/B.Tech Lateral Entry Admissions:
The Candidates seeking admissions as a Lateral Entry must possess Diploma in Engineering/Technology awarded by State Board of Technical Education or its equivalent are eligible to apply for Lateral Entry admission in third semester of B.E/B. Tech.The candidates who possess the Degree in Science (B.Sc.,) (10+2+3 stream) with Mathematics as a subject at the B.Sc. Level are eligible to apply for Lateral entry admission to the third semester of B.E. / B.Tech

The method for admission by TNEA Counseling Process is:- Rank List is released based on marks of 12th standard
- In Next Process Student is called for counseling in sports quota, regular manor
